Four rescued from sinking boat in Tampa Bay

The United States Coast Guard rescued four people from a sinking boat in Tampa Bay on Sunday, according to a media release from the Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard Sector in St. Petersburg received reports from a Good Samaritan over the radio, saying that a 19-foot vessel was taking water.

A 29-foot response boat was sent to the boat. The Coast Guard transferred the four people to the Fort De Soto boat ramp. One person was given emergency medical services, the Coast Guard said.

No other information was released.
