A fatal crash on Gandy Boulevard briefly prompted the closure of westbound lanes just west of Dale Mabry Highway, according to Tampa police.
Lanes were closed for several hours to allow investigators to work, police said. The lanes were closed around 7:30 p.m. and reopened again by 10:30 p.m.
