Motorcyclist dies in St. Petersburg crash, police say

ST. PETERSBURG — A 73-year-old man died after having a medical episode and losing control of his motorcycle Sunday morning, St. Petersburg police said.

At 10:30 a.m. Sunday, the motorcyclist was riding east on Gandy Boulevard N. near the Interstate 275 exit ramp when he had a medical episode. He lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a Honda Civic, police said.

The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital where he died.

No other information was released.
