SPRING HILL — A motorcyclist died after colliding with another vehicle Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

At 1:55 p.m. Sunday, a sedan driven by a 68-year-old man from Spring Hill was driving north on Fairhaven Avenue while a motorcyclist, a 58-year-old man from Brooksville, was driving east on Elgin Boulevard.

The men were not identified in the highway patrol’s report.

At the intersection of the two roads, the Spring Hill man stopped at the stop sign. He then proceeded into the intersection into the path of the Brooksville man’s motorcycle, troopers said.

The Brooksville man was taken to a local hospital where he died of injuries from the crash. The Spring Hill man and his passenger, a 68-year-old woman from Spring Hill, suffered minor injuries.

The Brooksville man was not wearing a helmet, troopers said.
