Clearwater house fire causes severe injuries

CLEARWATER — Three people were injured after a bedroom caught fire Saturday afternoon, according to Rob Shaw, a city spokesperson.

Crews from the Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department responded to a house fire Saturday at 2:20 p.m. at 2471 Chaucer St. The fire was limited to a single bedroom. However, three people were taken to local hospitals.

An adult male and female were taken to Tampa General Hospital with serious injuries, according to Shaw,. Another adult male was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other information was released.
