PINELLAS PARK — An ambulance overturned after a crash with a sedan on Friday, according to Pinellas Park Police.

The crash occurred at 118th Avenue N and 49th Street around 4:46 p.m. Photos from the Pinellas Park Police Department’s Twitter account showed the ambulance on its side, along with a BMW with a crushed front end.

The ambulance was driving south on 49th Street and the BMW was driving east on 118th Avenue where heavy construction is taking place. When the two vehicles reached the intersection, they collided, the department said in a media release Friday evening.

All five were sent to the Bayfront Health hospital in St. Petersburg for treatment, where the patient remained in critical condition and the paramedics were listed as stable.
