Somewhere, a Nissan Altima is missing a gray passenger-side mirror and the Florida Highway Patrol would like to speak with the driver.
The mirror was recovered at the scene of a Pasco County crash shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday that left a bicyclist with serious injuries, Troopers said Monday.
They said a 55-year-old man was riding a bicycle west on Lake Patience Road when he was struck by a westbound vehicle west of American Plaza Boulevard. The vehicle did not stop.
The Florida Highway Patrol released a photo of the damaged side mirror. A report identified the man on the bicycle as a Hudson resident. It said he was not wearing a helmet.
No other information was available.
Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call *FHP or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
