A 44-year-old man has died after an SUV struck him while he was walking on a two-lane road in Weeki Wachee early Saturday.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman, was headed north in a Toyota RAV4 when she hit two pedestrians on Marvelwood Road, just south of Osprey Avenue, about an hour after midnight, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
One pedestrian, a 37-year-old Sarasota woman, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
The man, a Weeki Wachee resident, died at the scene.
No other information was available at this time.
