A woman died after she was struck by an SUV driver on a Largo road on Monday, police said.
The crash happened near the intersection of Ulmerton Road and Fountain Way, according a news released issued Monday night by the Largo Police Department. Witnesses told police the woman “darted into the path” of a westbound SUV while not in a marked crosswalk, the release states. The release did not specify the time of the crash.
The woman was taken to a local hospital where she died. Police have not released the name of the woman or the SUV driver, who remained at the scene. Impairment was not a factor in the crash, police said.
