A 22-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard Wednesday night, police said.

The crash happened about 8 p.m. on the 2200 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, according to the Clearwater Police Department. Luke Thurman of Poinciana was riding a motorcycle east when Marva Henry-Collins, 50, of Clearwater, who was heading west in a Toyota SUV, turned left into Thurman’s path, police said. Thurman crashed into the Toyota.

Thurman was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and died there, police said.

All eastbound lanes of Belcher Road were closed for several hours while police investigated. Henry-Collins as of Thursday had not been cited in the crash, a police spokesperson said.
