A person was found dead in a St. Petersburg house fire Sunday night, according to St. Petersburg Fire Rescue.
Crews responded about 7:45 p.m. to the 4700 block of 12th Avenue N in the Central Oak Park neighborhood for reports of a house engulfed in fire and smoke. Crews searched the home and found one person dead inside.
No other injuries were reported.
Fire rescue officials have not released the name of the person who died. An investigation into the fire is underway.
