Deputies seek man accused of pulling gun at Carrollwood bar, fleeing wrong way on Dale Mabry

CARROLLWOOD — Deputies are searching for a man who threatened people with a gun at a pub on North Dale Mabry Highway before fleeing and crashing his car early Monday morning, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Robert Hubbard is facing charges of aggravated assault and fleeing and eluding.

Hubbard showed a gun during an altercation about 12:20 a.m. Monday at the Green Parrot Pub, 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy, then fled, the Sheriff's Office said. He returned an hour later and fled again minutes before deputies arrived, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies found Hubbard in his vehicle less than 300 feet from the bar and chased him but pulled off as sped away traveling the wrong way, south in the northbound lanes of Dale Mabry, the Sheriff's Office said.

Hubbard crashed his grey 2014 Kia in the parking lot of Gonzalez Funeral Home, three miles south of the pub at 7209 N Dale Mabry Hwy, and fled on foot,the Sheriff's Office said.

Hubbard already was wanted on charges including probation violation, using an altered ID, robbery, fraudulent use of a credit card, grand theft, theft, giving false information to a pawnbroker and dealing in stolen property.
