SAFETY HARBOR — The Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center, 329 Bayshore Blvd. S, will be hosting an ice cream and cool treat themed exhibit titled "Harbor Ice Cream Parlor and Soda Shoppe" this June through August and staff will be looking for antique ice cream shop items like ice cream scoops, spoons, sundae glasses, bowls, parlor shop chairs, signs, posters, pictures, and old ice cream makers to help transform the museum into an old-fashioned ice cream and soda shop.
Community members are invited to drop off items at the museum starting May 1, and they will be on loan for the duration of the exhibit. Items will be displayed with the owner's name and store information if from an antique business owner.
Those interested in exhibiting any antique ice cream items, email Christine McWilliams, chmcwilliams@cityofsafetyharbor.com or Jennifer Chilton at jchilton@cityofsafetyharbor.com.
