Chambers to stage business expos in May

Plant City Expo. The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce is seeking exhibitors for this year's Chamber Community Expo. The registration deadline is Monday.

The annual expo highlights local businesses and community groups. This event is set for 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the Expo Building, 351 N Woodrow Wilson St. on the Florida Strawberry Festival grounds.

Registration is $150 for chamber members and $200 for nonmembers. Viewing spaces are 10 by 10 feet and includes a table and two chairs. Restaurants that give out samples will receive a discount.

Brandon Expo. The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce holds its 25th annual Brandon Business Expo &"Taste of Brandon" May 16 from 3:30-8 p.m. The event takes place at the Florida State Fairgrounds Special Events Center.

The event expects to lure more than 200 exhibitors for its trade-show setting and annual "Taste-Off" competition. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Pigs in the Parking Lot. The South Shore Chamber of Commerce holds its annual Pigs in the Parking Lot Barbecue, Beer, Blues & Business Expo May 17 from 4-10 p.m. at the MiraBay Sweetbay Plaza, 137 Harbor Village Lane, in Apollo Beach.
