Concealed permit renewals: The Gulf Harbors branch of the Pasco County Tax Collector's Office, 4720 U.S. 19, New Port Richey has expanded its concealed weapons services to include processing of concealed weapons renewals. Customers now can visit the branch office to apply for a concealed weapons permit renewal, as well as to submit a first-time application. Services are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments are not required. Girl scouts: The Silver Forest Community, which includes more than 30 Girl Scout troops, will host an Ice Cream Social and Girl Scout Recruitment Rally for girls in west Pasco who are entering kindergarten through 12th grade at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8320 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey. The community has openings in existing troops and is forming new troops at every age level. Over complimentary ice cream, girls and their families can speak with Girl Scouts and troop leaders, receive informational handouts, create crafts and review photos of the events in which Girl Scouts participate. Bilirakis to speak: U.S. Rep. Gus Bilirakis will be the keynote speaker at a meeting of the Republican Party of Central Pasco at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Copperstone Executive Suites, 3632 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O'Lakes. museum celebration: The West Pasco Historical Society will host a celebration of the 100th birthday of the Rao Musunuru M.D. Museum, 6431 Circle Blvd., New Port Richey, and the Julie Obenreder Memorial Library Wing at 1 p.m. Aug. 29. support groups: Gulfside Hospice will host the following set of eight-week support groups for newly bereaved individuals:

Openings at bazaar: Vendor applications are being accepted for the Lexington Oaks Fall Bazaar, to be hosted by the Lexington Oaks Women's Club.
