Clerk of Court's 10th Annual Valentine's Day Group Wedding: Registration is under way for couples who would like to be joined together for one group wedding ceremony on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14 at the wedding garden of the Florida Botanical Gardens, 12520 Ulmerton Road, Largo.

About 50 couples are expected for a single ceremony that will unite all couples in attendance. The couples and their guests will celebrate with wedding cake and refreshments provided by local sponsors. In order to be eligible for this event, applications for a marriage license must be made by Feb. 10. The clerk has waived the normal $30 ceremony fee; standard marriage license fees still apply.

MEET LOCAL AUTHORS: The Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave., will host its annual Showcase of Local Authors from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. CHESNUT PARK RECYCLING DROPOFF CENTER REOPENS: The Pinellas County recycling dropoff center at John Chesnut Sr. Park in East Lake has reopened following a site expansion project. The nearby recycling dropoff center at East Lake Community Library at 4125 East Lake Road has been permanently closed. The recycling drop-off center at John Chesnut Sr. Park, just west of East Lake Road and Sandy Point Road, has gone through an expansion project that relocated the south gate 40 feet out to provide needed space for trucks to pick up and drop off containers without affecting traffic on Sandy Point Road. Additional recycling containers and solid wood fencing was installed to delineate the new site boundary.

ART CLASSES: The Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Ave., St. Petersburg, is holding its 2016 winter session one. Whether you are a seasoned artist, a beginner, or just looking to have some artsy fun, the center will have a class or workshop for everyone, including kids. YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE: The St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive, is offering a coed youth basketball league for children kindergarten to eighth grade. The league runs through March and includes an eight-game schedule plus a tournament. Grades K-2 will practice and play on Saturdays using 8-foot rims.
