FREE HOMECOMING DRESS: Belle of the Ball Project will provide homecoming dresses and accessories to low-income high school girls on three Saturdays this fall. THE CITY OF CLEARWATER'S COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY is seeking artists to design a banner that will be displayed along a chain-link fence on city property. One artist will be selected and their graphic design will be printed on a mesh banner to beautify a chain-link fence at 1274 Cleveland St.
Proposals from artists living and/or working in the Tampa Bay area are desired. The design theme chosen by the city is "Bright and Beautiful • Bay to Beach." The desired artwork and theme should exemplify how the city and the Downtown Clearwater Gateway are bright and beautiful. An honorarium of $500 will be provided as compensation for the selected artist's design services. The winning artist will be recognized by the city's Community Redevelopment Agency in its monthly newsletter and potentially other media outlets. Specifications and deadline for submittal artists interested in applying must submit their complete proposal by Oct. 7.
A completed application must include the following: Artist's name and brief bio; Artist's mailing address; One or more files in the following format: 4644 inches x 60 inches, 300 dpi minimum. Acceptable formats may include: eps, tiff, jpg, pdf. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR JOHN'S PASS SEAFOOD FESTIVAL: Volunteers are needed for the 2016 John's Pass Seafood Festival on Oct. 27-30.
