Several Pasco County government offices will be closed on Monday

Several Pasco County government offices will be closed to the public Monday and the Pasco County Public Transportation bus system will not operate due to a Staff Development and Appreciation Day.

The only offices that will remain open to the public are the clerk and comptroller, the property appraiser, the supervisor of elections, the sheriff's office and the courthouses. The Pasco County Resource Recovery Facility and the East Pasco Transfer Station will be open to the public and to licensed commercial haulers. Pasco County Recreation Complexes will be closed, however county parks will remain open for public use.

An animal control officer will be on standby for emergency calls only, but the animal shelter will be closed.

All the offices closed Monday will return to normal hours on Tuesday. Pasco County libraries, which are always closed on Mondays, will be closed Oct. 17 for their development day.
