A partnership of Tampa Bay investors has increased its loan to Times Publishing Company, publisher of the Tampa Bay Times, by $3 million, according to records filed with Pinellas County.

That brings the total loan to about $15 million, which is secured by a mortgage on the Times’ printing plant in St. Petersburg. The company said it would contribute the new money to its pension plan.

The investor group, known as FBN Partners, includes Lightning owner Jeff Vinik, health care executive Dr. Kiran Patel, and Times chairman Paul Tash.
