ST. PETERSBURG — Triad Media, the marketing firm formerly known as Triad Retail Media, confirmed that it has laid off some of its employees this week.

“As retail evolves, we have a new plan for helping clients win in e-commerce," the company said in a statement. “As part of these changes, we’ve unfortunately had to part ways with some of our talented and respected team members.”

The company declined to say how many employees were affected, how widespread the layoffs were or which positions the layoffs included. The layoffs, the company said, affected its St. Petersburg location as well as its offices in other markets, though it declined to say which. Triad’s website lists locations in Tampa Bay, Arkansas, New York City and Chicago.

“Here in (St. Petersburg), we’ve partnered with our local recruiting network group to host a job fair next week that will connect our impacted team members with companies in our area who are looking to fill open positions immediately.”

British public relations firm WPP bought Triad for $300 million in 2016.
