Macy’s is hiring 1,000 seasonal workers in its three customer service call centers, including one in Clearwater.

Most of the local seasonal jobs posted online that are based in Tampa Bay are for “home furnishing advisers" to handle furniture orders and questions within the call center.

In total, Macy’s is seeking 80,000 seasonal employees but the bulk of the added workforce will be in 11 warehouses that handle online orders, none of which are in Florida.

On Oct. 24, Macy’s will hold its national hiring event in every location from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Macy’s also offers phone interviews for online applicants.
