Florida gas prices are expected to fall a bit after a spike over the holiday.
According to AAA, the Auto Club Group, Sunshine State gas prices averaged $2.43 a gallon Tuesday, up 2 cents over the week. Tampa Bay gas prices averaged $2.38 a gallon Tuesday, also 2 cents more than last week.
Tensions between the U.S. and China caused crude oil prices to drop last week, according to AAA spokesman Mark Jenkins.
“Pump prices should point lower this week," Jenkins said. "Unless the energy market bounces back this week, drivers should notice a 5 (to) 10 cent drop at the pump in the next week or two.”
Nationally, gas was $2.59 per gallon on average Monday.
