Florida utility regulator Julie Brown appointed to national association board

Brown will serve as one of 20 board member for the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners.

TALLAHASSEE — Florida Public Service Commissioner Julie Brown was appointed to the board of directors for the national organization that oversees utility regulation. Brown will serve as one of 20 board member for the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners.

“Julie has been a longtime leader in Florida, and will serve (the national association) well in her role as a board member,” said Brandon Presley, National Association of Regulatory Commissioners president, in a release.

Brown, a Tampa lawyer, currently serves on several of the national association’s panels, including the Committee on Gas, the Subcommittee on Nuclear Issues–Waste Disposal and the Presidential Natural Gas Access and Expansion Task Force.
