SAN ANTONIO — The construction team behind one of Pasco County’s upcoming Publix supermarkets says the new store is slated to be completed by September 2021.
The new store is being built for Mirada, a 2,200-acre housing development with a man-made lagoon. Some of the homes in the community — ranging from six-bedroom family homes to two-bedroom villas — will start to go on sale in March, according to the site’s developers.
The Publix and its surrounding plaza, Market at Mirada, will be built by local builder Dunphy Properties and Atlanta-based Batson Cook Development Company. The groundbreaking is scheduled for August.
Publix and a Publix liquor store will anchor the plaza. There will be 12,600 square feet of other retail space.
The entire development is just off of Interstate 75 in San Antonio. The Publix will be along Mirada Boulevard and the to-be extended State Road 52.
