CLEARWATER — The head of a Clearwater-based cybersecurity membership organization will step down, the nonprofit announced this week. (ISC)², which currently has about 153,000 members, said CEO David Shearer will end his six-year term at the end of the year. The board of directors will search for his replacement.

“I deeply believe in the association’s mission to inspire a safe and secure cyber world," Shearer said in a release. "I’m looking forward to helping the board select the right successor to keep us moving along the same trajectory.”

The organization did not indicate what his plans would be once he steps down. (ISC)² currently has members in 175 countries.
