SEMINOLE — There is an actual store opening this summer.
Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring 110 people ahead of the planned July opening of its latest Tampa Bay location.
The Seminole Sprouts is slated to open July 15 at 7263 Seminole Boulevard. The 110 openings are a mix of full- and part-time positions. The store will hold a virtual career fair with video interviews on June 3 and 4.
The new 32,000-square-foot store’s anticipated opening comes after Earth Fare, one of the chain’s competitors, suddenly closed all of its locations, including one in Seminole. Earth Fare’s fall came on the heels of the collapse of another organic grocer, Lucky’s Market, which has now left Florida altogether.
Sprouts has solidified itself as a leader in the organic and specialty food market while touting its “Healthy Living for Less” slogan. The chain is continuing to expand in Florida, with other stores planned in Jacksonville and Miramar over the next couple of months.
The Phoenix-based grocer is known for its large selection of produce, prepared foods, dry bulk goods and vitamin assortment. The stores cater to every popular diet trend from plant-based to keto.
The Seminole Sprouts is seeking department managers, cashiers, clerks, backroom receivers and people for administrative roles.
The chain operates more than 340 stores across 23 states.
Those interested in jobs at the Seminole location can apply online at sprouts.com/careers or call 1-866-925-2396 for non-managerial roles.
