Walmart unveils four updated Tampa Bay locations

The updated stores are in Brooksville, New Port Richey, Wimauma and Largo.

Walmart has remodeled four Tampa Bay stores with a focus on on streamlining sales as the pandemic drags on.

The updated stores are at:

  • 13300 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville
  • 9020 Ulmerton Road, Largo
  • 8745 State Road 54, New Port Richey
  • 4928 State Road 674, Wimauma

The stores now have wider shopping aisles and updated product assortment, including more beer and wine and prepared foods. The electronic departments have new interactive displays that allow shoppers to test electronics before buying.

The stores are outfitted with new signs, LED lights and flooring.

Walmart says its still continuing to do deep-cleaning in the store, health screeni employees, require mask use and limit the number of shoppers allowed inside in response to the pandemic.

The chain is also pushing its delivery and pick-up options, including curbside grocery pick-up. The stores will also bring pharmacy orders out to shoppers who do not feel comfortable going inside the store.

The chain has also launched a new two-hour express delivery service to better compete with Amazon.
