Help us name the new Tampa Bay Times business newsletter

A weekly rundown on news and trends affecting the local economy is in the works here, but we can’t decide what to call it.

We’re bringing a new local newsletter to Tampa Bay Times readers’ inboxes, this one focused on business and consumer news.

In this weekly dispatch, Tampa Bay Times real estate reporter Emily L. Mahoney, with contributions from her business team colleagues Jay Cridlin and Malena Carollo, will break down the latest news and trends affecting Tampa Bay’s economy.

Expect coverage on the housing market, development, retail, utilities and insurance, major openings and closings, tourism and other topics compiled all in one place and sent to your email — for free.

The mission of the Times’ business team, and the newsletter, is to show you how what happens in the marketplace affects you, your wallet and the way you live your life, for better and for worse. That means highlighting businesses in our area doing cool and creative things. Sometimes, it also means holding bad actors to account when their actions harm people.

But while we’re working on the newsletter, we can’t decide what to call it. We need your help.

We’ve narrowed our choices to this list of potential newsletter names. Do us a solid and tell us which one you like best:

  • Big Guava Market
  • Business Briefly
  • Business by the Bay
  • In the Market
  • Tampa Bay’s Business

Fill out the poll below and let us know your thoughts.

There’s no iron-clad guarantee we’ll use the poll-winning name, of course, but we certainly want the free market to weigh in. Send us your input today!
