A PGA Tour Superstore is coming to Tampa Bay.

The golf retailer is debuting in Tampa this winter, according to a statement.

With 51 total locations, PGA Tour Superstore is expanding across the U.S. as outdoor activities boomed during the pandemic, the release said. About 3 million people played golf for the first time in 2020, an industry record, according to the National Golf Foundation.

The PGA Tour Superstore on 13210 North Dale Mabry Highway will be 40,000 square feet and house nine simulators and practice bays, where shoppers can play on virtual golf courses, the statement said. There will also be more than 2,000 square feet of putting green space.

Some of the largest PGA Tour Superstores — like the one opening in Tampa — offer fitting studios where customers can test out a variety of club heads. Certified employees will then offer a recommendation on what equipment to purchase based on the data analytics. In addition to golf products, PGA Tour sells tennis and pickleball equipment as well, according to its website.

Tampa will have the ninth PGA Tour Superstore in Florida. The other locations in the state are in Sarasota, Orlando, Delray Beach, Naples, Jacksonville, Altamonte Springs, Plantation and Palm Beach Gardens.
