A British hiring company with more than a dozen offices around the world has planted its flag in Tampa.
Phaidon International has announced it plans to hire 200 consultants to work from its newest U.S. office at the WeWork building at 501 E Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa. The office is designed to spearhead the company’s growth plans in Florida and across the southeast.
“Tampa, the state of Florida and the surrounding, wider southeastern region is a key growth area for Phaidon International and a number of our clients,” North American managing director Kieran Behan said in a statement. “This new office will enable us to not only invest in this city, but ultimately in the candidates and companies currently in the area or interested in moving to Florida.”
Behan said the Tampa office would help Phaidon “increase our specialties and share our expertise across verticals locally and regionally.”
Through a variety of brands, Phaidon offers professional hiring services in a half-dozen fields, including engineering, life sciences and legal and regulatory businesses. Brands operating from the Tampa office will be focused on financial services, technology and the supply chain. Consultants hired in this market will be tasked with identifying and attracting talent for clients in those fields.
This is Phaidon’s seventh American office, following posts in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas and Charlotte, North Carolina. Headquartered in London, the company also has offices in China, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong, with another in the works for Amsterdam.
