Tampa Airport Marriott completes major event space renovation

The Tampa Airport Marriott hotel has wrapped up a multi-million dollar renovation of its meeting and event space, according to a media release.

The 298-room hotel located at the Tampa International Airport is celebrating its 50th anniversary next year. It has 25,416 square feet of meeting and event space, including 17 meeting rooms and a 7,446-square-foot Hillsborough Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 700 people.

The renovation included a completely new design created by CRA Design of Los Angeles and features new carpet, vinyl, paint, tables, chairs and other furniture. LED lightning and keycard-access door locks are part of new security features.

The Tampa Airport Marriott was named a “best airport hotel” this year by Smart Meetings Magazine. The exact cost of the renovation was not disclosed.
