A new Trader Joe’s grocery store in the Sarasota-Bradenton area is set to open soon.

There’s no official date yet, but the cult-favorite grocery chain is hiring at a new Lakewood Ranch store off of Interstate 75.

Trader Joe’s will host a hiring fair from Monday to Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m, the California-based grocer announced Thursday. The new store at the Shoppes at University Town Center is set to hire more than 40 employees.

If candidates can’t make it in person, they can also apply online.

The Lakewood Ranch store being built at 8477 Cooper Creek Blvd. will be Trader Joe’s 10th location in Florida. The grocer announced the new store in May and said it will open by the end of the year.

The Lakewood Ranch location is currently the only Trader Joe’s store officially in development in Florida.

It will be the second location in the Sarasota-Bradenton area, after a Sarasota store along the Tamiami Trail. Tampa Bay has two stores: one in South Tampa and another in St. Petersburg. There are no known plans for another store in the Tampa Bay region, despite many residents in North Pinellas petitioning to bring a Trader Joe’s to their area.
