Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has welcomed four attorneys to its Tampa office. Joining the firm are Leslie Wager Hudock, shareholder in the Corporate section; Steven C. Pratico, shareholder in the Litigation section; Leonard H. Johnson, shareholder in the Real Estate section; and Sheada Madani, senior attorney in the Real Estate section. Hudock, Johnson, Pratico and Madani come to Buchanan from Barnett, Bolt, Kirkwood, Long & Koche.

Akerman LLP announced the expansion of its national Real Estate Practice Group with land use partner Jim Porter in Tampa. Porter concentrates his practice on land use and zoning, as well as government relations, and also has experience with the wireless communications industry, including cellular tower zoning issues. Porter is also the current school board attorney for the Hillsborough County School Board

Haywood L. Brown, MD has been selected as the University of South Florida System's new vice president for diversity, inclusion & equal opportunity and Title IX administrator. Along with his USF System role, Brown has also been named associate dean for diversity at the Morsani College of Medicine and chief diversity officer for USF Health. He comes to USF from Duke University Medical Center, where he has worked in several capacities since 2002. Most recently, he served as the F. Bayard Carter Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has held leadership roles in a number of university committees

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute – OLLI – at Eckerd College announced the appointment of Mary Szaroleta as its new director. Szaroleta will supervise the 350 OLLI lifelong learning annual classes and activities designed for participants age 50 plus and open to all adult learners in Pinellas County. Szaroleta most recently served as Associate Curator of Public Programs at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg. Previously, she also held the position there of Development Coordinator and Marketing Manager.

Chief Operating Officer Lisa Suprenand has been selected to become the Executive Director for Ronald McDonald House Charities Tampa Bay. Suprenand has spent the past four years overseeing all aspects of running four Ronald McDonald Houses that provide 80 bedrooms each night to families with a child in the hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Oklahoma State University, a Masters in Public Administration, and a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management from USF.

World of Beer / Bar & Kitchen has announced two new additions to its corporate leadership team: CFO, Kevin MacCormack, and VP of Marketing, James Buell. MacCormack is a corporate finance executive who has worked as a Managing Director of Investment Banking for Raymond James & Associates, Inc. for over 16 years. Buell is an senior marketing executive with extensive domestic and international experience in the entertainment, hospitality, brand, digital, philanthropy, retail, hotel and casino industries.
