Appointments at Fisher-Phillips and McKibbon Hospitality highlight this week's Tampa Bay business Movers & Shakers


McKibbon Hospitality announced the promotion of Denise Kauble to regional director of sales and marketing. She will oversee sales and marketing for a large portfolio of McKibbon's hotels, including seven properties in the Tampa Bay area. Kauble previously worked as market director of sales for McKibbon Hospitality and oversaw sales for five hotels in Tampa's Westshore business district. Prior to working with McKibbon Hospitality, Kauble worked as an area general manager for Interstate Hotels and Resorts, in addition to holding several management roles at various Marriott properties.


The Tampa office of Fisher Phillips, LLP announced that Christine Howard has been named regional managing partner. She takes over from Steve Bernstein who has held the position for the past three years. The two have rotated the position over the past decade. Howard has been with Fisher Phillips since 1990 and also serves as the co-chair of the firm's Women's Initiative and Leadership Council (WILC).


After a year-long national search, Hillel Academy has hired Allison B. Oakes, M.Ed to serve as its head of school. Oakes comes to Hillel Academy from Durham, N.C., with nearly 20 years of experience in both public school and Jewish day school education. Most recently, she served as head of school of the Sandra E. Lerner Jewish Community Day School in Durham.


Jerry Johnson has joined Frazier & Deeter in Tampa as a Principal in the Audit Practice. He will work with the firm's public and private audit clients and will provide leadership within the Tampa office for the firm's national Healthcare and Manufacturing and Distribution practices.

Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Florida Properties Group has re-vamped its marketing department with the addition of several key personnel. Christie Clark, Olivia Crumbley and Trish Prescott comprise the new marketing team. Clark, newly named graphic design specialist, serves the firm's clients as well as its' sales professionals by creating advertising and marketing materials, print and on-line promotional pieces, special luxury home projects and more. Crumbley, marketing team PR and event specialist, works with the firm's more than 700 sales professionals to help manage media. Prescott, marketing team commercial division specialist, produces marketing pieces for the firm's commercial properties and sales professionals.
