The temperature is climbing and so are prices at the pump. State gas prices jumped about 10 cents over the week to $2.64 per gallon Monday, while Tampa Bay gas averaged $2.59 per gallon, an 11-cent hike over the week, according to AAA, The Auto Club Group.

Nationally, gas was $2.66 per gallon Monday.

"Strong demand, tightening supplies, and record-high gasoline exports gave gas prices a boost this week," Mark Jenkins, AAA spokesperson, said in a release. "Pump prices seemed to have stalled over the weekend, but there is still potential for higher prices this spring."
