'69 Plymouth Sport Satellite
This is my only photo of my favorite car and its favorite passenger. When the fuel crisis hit in '74, I got the car for a grand: a '69 Plymouth Sport Satellite in metallic green. It had a heated, big rear-glass window — essential in Michigan. I saw only one identical model in many years. Then a Carolina redneck offered a bunch of cash for it. Puzzled, I asked a car guy and he explained that just a minimal number of that model was made to qualify it as a "stock car" and most buyers wanted only the big engine. I had by then given the rusted hulk to a Girl Scout camp.
