Body boot camp ready to kick you into shape

WESTCHASE — Chad Johnson is on a mission to help people get in shape.

As owner of Westchase Fit Body Boot Camp, he encourages members to not only exercise, but also maintain a healthy diet.

"I really like to teach people to have a better lifestyle," Johnson said. "You can't out-train a bad diet."

A former elementary school teacher, Johnson is an ACE-Certified Personal Trainer, and a martial arts instructor. He also is co-owner of Victory Martial Arts in Palm Harbor.

Westchase Fit Body Boot Camp offers 30-minute, high intensity, interval training. Each session is rotated through eight exercises, and no two workouts are the same.

Unlike working out individually with a personal trainer, Johnson said the group dynamic provides "camaraderie, and a team environment." He points out that "it's the support system that either makes or breaks somebody's nutrition and fitness goals."

Westchase Fit Body Boot Camp offers six sessions per weekday, and one on Saturday. The earliest class begins at 5:30 a.m., and latest is at 6:05 p.m. New members receive a nutrition consultation, along with the support of the certified personal trainers.

Westchase Fit Body Boot Camp celebrates its grand opening from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with raffles and giveaways.

Westchase Fit Body Boot Camp is located at 12713 Race Track Road. For more information, call (813) 841-3783 or visit
