FREE SIPS AND SEA CREATURES FOR GOODWILL DONORS: People who drop off clothing or household items through Sept. 29 at the Goodwill Industries-Suncoast Superstore, 4750 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, will receive a coupon for a free Route 44 big drink at the Spring Hill Sonic drive-in, 4667 Commercial Way.

In addition, donors will receive a coupon good for a free ticket to the Florida Aquarium for each adult ticket purchased, up to three free tickets. The aquarium coupons are redeemable until Nov. 30.

The Goodwill store features a drive-through donation lane. Donations are accepted from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Donations support Goodwill's employment services for people in the local community.

HOSPITAL STARS: Oak Hill Hospital, 11375 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill, has announced its "stars" — associates of the month — for August. They are Judith Babilonia, Michael Cabaccang and Paula Firestone.

Babilonia, a physical therapist, joined the hospital's rehabilitation department in November 2011.

Cabaccang, a registered nurse, joined the intensive care unit in January 2012. On occasion, he floats to the second-floor progressive care unit as well as the fourth floor.

Firestone, an administration assistant, began working in the hospital's education department in December 2010 and is the assistant to director of education Pierre Richard.


HBA ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING: The Hernando Builders Association will have its annual membership meeting and board of directors election at 6 p.m. Monday at the HBA office, 7391 Sunshine Grove Road, west of Brooksville.

The series, presented by Royce Decker, reviews past, present and future business practices that have made the Disney name synonymous with exemplary products and services. The goal is to provide a solid foundation for customer service, loyalty and satisfaction.

EMAIL & SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP: The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce will offer "Grow Your Business," an email and social media workshop, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the chamber office, 15588 Aviation Loop Drive, south of Brooksville.

The workshop will be presented by Pamela Starr of Constant Contact. During the first half, participants will learn about best practices, tips and techniques for smart email marketing strategies. HONEYBAKED HAM FIGHTS TO "FOIL" BREAST CANCER: For the first time in 55 years, the HoneyBaked Ham Co. is changing its iconic gold foil to pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. HoneyBaked and the National Breast Cancer Foundation are partnering in October to "foil" breast cancer.

In addition, the HoneyBaked Ham Co. and Cafe, 4638 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, will donate $1 from each ham sale in October to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation's local mammography program. Call (352) 592-2994 for information.

FREE BUSINESS CONSULTATIONS: The Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida and the Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce provide free consultations to small businesses and entrepreneurs in the county.

SAVE THE DATE: The Greater Hernando County Chamber of Commerce's 2013 Beach Bash: HANG 10 Hernando! will be from 5 to 11 p.m. Oct. 4 at the Hernando Beach Club, 3145 Flamingo Blvd., Hernando Beach.

Tickets are $15 per person, which includes food, drinks, entertainment, dunk tank and other activities. DJ Beach Bum will provide music outside from 5 to 11 p.m. A band will perform inside from 7 to 11 p.m.
