ST. PETERSBURG — St. Petersburg-based Triad Retail Media is expanding south of the border. The company announced the addition of a new office in Mexico on Wednesday, saying it is hoping to capitalize on what digital research company eMarketer expects will be a 25 percent growth in digital ads there. Triad focuses on selling digital ads.

"We are thrilled to bring our digital retail media proposition to Mexico, a flourishing advertising market with recent double-digit growth," Sherry Smith, global chief customer officer at Triad, said in a statement.

Triad was acquired by WPP, a British public relations and advertising company, in late 2016 for around $300 million. It has 400 employees in its St. Petersburg office and 600 total in 13 offices around the world.
