TAMPA — Tampa attorney Robert J. Grammig has been elected the 2017-18 chairman of the board of directors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.
Grammig, a partner in the Tampa office of Holland & Knight and leader of the firm's public companies and securities practice, replaces Syd Kitson, whose term expired Tuesday.
Florida Chamber president Mark Wilson called Grammig "an advocate for free-enterprise (who) believes a competitive workforce and strong global ties will help ensure Florida's diverse communities can unite under an integrated business agenda."
Grammig's civic and volunteer work has included serving as a director of the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, on the leadership committee of the Florida chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce and a director of the Tampa Bay International Trade Council and the Tampa Bay Child Abuse Committee. He also was the general counsel to the Tampa Bay Host Committee for the 2012 Republican National Convention.
