RIVERVIEW — The chickichanga has come to Riverview as First Watch, a Bradenton-based breakfast and brunch café, opened its 12th Tampa Bay area location at 13013 U.S. 301.

The flour tortilla has become one of the most popular menu items for diners who visit First Watch and includes whipped eggs with spicy chicken, chorizo sausage, green chilies, cheddar and Monterey jack cheese rolled together with onions and avocados.

"For more than two decades, First Watch has grown and evolved quite a bit in the Bay area, and we're grateful for the unwavering support our neighbors and friends here have shown during that time," First Watch president Chris Tomasso said in a statement.

The 3,400 square-foot café is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and, along with creative and healthy menu options such as avocado toast and smoked salmon eggs benedict, is known for providing complimentary newspapers and WiFi as well as bringing copious amounts of coffee to your table the first time you order.

This new store opening flaunts the First Watch new restaurant design, which combines farm fresh elements with a high-energy, urban vibe. The farm fresh decor includes a portrait of a cow wading in knee deep water and farm tools hanging on the walls.

That vibe is accented by patio seating, chalk-written specials on a blackboard and an open kitchen separated by a wall of pans.

The opening created approximately 25 jobs. Call (813) 423-4044 or download the nowait app and get in line from home.

First Watch dubs itself as the nation's largest and fastest-growing daytime-only restaurant concept in the U.S. with more than 275 restaurants in 26 states, including a First Watch on Causeway Boulevard in Brandon and The Egg and I in the Winthrop Towne Center.
