HOSPITAL WELCOMES ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON: Dr. Juan Raposo, an orthopedic surgeon, was recently appointed to the medical staff at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. Raposo was fellowship trained in spine surgery and trauma. He practices at the Center for Bone & Joint Disease in Brooksville and Hudson.

HOBBY LOBBY OPENS MONDAY: Hobby Lobby Stores, a privately held national retail chain of craft and home decor stores, will open its new store at 12950 Cortez Blvd. in Spring Hill with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and official grand opening celebration at 9 a.m. Monday. The event is open to the public. The store is Hobby Lobby's 32nd in Florida. Store hours will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
TEXAS ROADHOUSE SUPPORTS ONE ROOM SCHOOLHOUSE: Texas Roadhouse, 12935 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill, will donate 10 percent of all food purchases from 3 to 10 p.m. Jan. 5 to the One Room Schoolhouse in Brooksville. For information, call (352) 596-2225.
