Hurricanes Harvey and Irma are almost behind us as far as gas prices are concerned. The average price per gallon fell 9.7 cents across Tampa Bay over the past week to hit $2.41 per gallon Sunday, according to gas price tracker GasBuddy.com.

"Gasoline supply has continued to improve, and as temperatures begin to feel more fall like, demand for fuel will continue to decline," Patrick DeHaan, spokesperson for GasBuddy, said in a release.

State gas prices averaged $2.54 per gallon, just above national prices at $2.47 per gallon.

Despite Hurricane Nate's path toward Louisiana, where many oil refineries are located, the storm has had little impact on prices thus far.

"If refineries and oil rigs have a difficult time resuming normal operations, and futures prices spike, then the local gas price plunge could stall out," said Mark Jenkins, spokesperson for AAA, The Auto Club Group, in a release. "This is something that will take a few days to play out."
