MODEL HOMES OPEN IN LAND O'LAKES: Bexley by Newland Communities, a new community at State Road 54 and the Suncoast Parkway, has announced five new housing options from home builders CalAtlantic, David Weekley and Lennar, which have all opened model homes in the community. Bexley offers 1,200 acres of preserved open space and parks, tree-lined streets, resort-style amenities and planned walking, jogging and biking trails. CAREGIVER RECOGNIZED: Christine Collins of New Port Richey, a caregiver with Home Instead Senior Care, was recently recognized along with other individuals as a regional caregiver of the year. Collins was recognized for the Southeast region. From that group, Collins was named the 2017 North American Caregiver of the Year. After a 40-year career in the banking industry in New York, Collins and her husband moved to Florida, where her mother lived. She started working for a local hospice organization, and after her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease she became her primary caregiver. After her mother died, Collins began working for Home Instead Senior Care in New Port Richey.

DOCTOR TEACHES COURSE ON BOTOX: Dr. David Kimmel of the Florida Center for Laser Dentistry taught a course on "Botox and Fillers" in late April in Louisville, Ky. The course focused on facial pain, cosmetic Botox and fillers. In addition, on April 8, Kimmel gave three lectures at the Louisiana State Dental Conference in New Orleans. Kimmel has been practicing in Bayonet Point for 26 years and has been utilizing laser dentistry for 14 years. His office is at 12124 Cobble Stone Drive.

DOCTOR LECTURES AT SYMPOSIUM: Dr. Michael A. Pikos, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the founder of Coastal Jaw Surgery, recently lectured on guided full-arch immediate implant reconstruction at the BioHorizons Global Symposium in Miami. Pikos' offices are at 2711 Tampa Road, Palm Harbor; 8845 Hawbuck St., Trinity, and 4372 Commercial Way, Spring Hill.


ACADEMY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Pasco Hernando SCORE will present its Academy for Business Development, a four-week program for existing businesses to learn and develop new strategies, at Rasmussen College, 18600 Fernview St., Land O'Lakes.
