Floridians' biggest irritation this year? Being called when they asked not to be. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services recently released its top 10 consumer complaint topics for 2017. Leading the list with 19,112 complaints was violations of the "Do Not Call" list.
It was also the top issue in 2016 with 17,177 complaints.
The Do Not Call Registry is a list maintained by the Federal Trade Commission to help consumers avoid unwanted sales and spam calls.
And Floridians aren't just griping about it to their state agencies. Floridians had the second-highest number of complaints about the list to the FTC this year — 588,021 — and ranked No. 3 for such complaints per capita.
