Big Plant City shopping center sells for $29 million

PLANT CITY — Lake Walden Square, a 244,529-square-foot shopping center at the main retail intersection serving Plant City, has been sold for $29 million to a Hollywood, Fla., company. Anchored by Winn-Dixie, the center at West Alexander Street and James L. Redman Parkway also includes Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less, Michaels, PetSmart and Famous Footwear. The buyer, JBL Asset Management, owns shopping centers in several states. HFF marketed the property on behalf of the seller, Retail Value Inc.
