TREASURE ISLAND — Business bigwig and civic activist Bill Edwards wants to sell a Treasure Island home he built this year for $3 million, a sales listing shows.
The 4,600-square-foot beachfront estate on First Street W, which Edwards never lived in, was finished in January, Century 21 listing agent Jill Helgren said.
Edwards bought the land in 2006 for $1.1 million from the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, a New York not-for-profit. Edwards listed the home for $3.3 million in June before bumping the price down this week.
The white, Miami-style estate towers three floors over the beach and features an elevator and a kitchen of quartz countertops that Helgren said "look like diamond sparkles."
Edwards lives in a mansion on St. Petersburg's Brightwaters Boulevard he bought in 2011 for $9 million.
