TAMPA — Winn-Dixie unveiled another remodeled store, the sixth in the area, after promising to remodel much of its chain following its emergence from bankruptcy this year.

The made-over store at 805 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. has a host of new offerings, fresh signage and more prepared foods. The store had a grand reopening Thursday morning.

"Winn-Dixie is deeply rooted in the Tampa Bay community and has established a history of commitment and service going back nearly 22 years in this store," said CEO Anthony Hucker in a statement. "We plan to continue remodeling stores in this community and across our footprint."

The new store — similar to the other fresh concept stores like in South Tampa and Apollo Beach — have expanded produce, updated deli with more grab-and-go meals, fresh subs and a wing bar. There's also smokehouse, hand-rubbed chicken, ribs, pork and brisket.

The store also has a full-service butcher and updated seafood department with fresh and whole fish.

Similar to the new Fresco y Más stores, there's even a $1 section.
