TAMPA — Dick's Sporting Goods is opening Friday at WestShore Plaza.

The sports goods store is taking over the former spot of Saks Fifth Avenue, which closed in May after 15 years in the mall.

Dick's will have giveaways all weekend and fishing demonstrations at a 4,000-gallon bass tank.

On Friday, the first 100 shoppers in line will receive a free Under Armour Tech shirt valued at $24.99. On Saturday and Sunday, the first 100 people each day will receive a gift card for up to $500 worth of Dick's merchandise and Blair Wiggins, the host of Addictive Fishing, will appear at the store from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Opening weekend hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. For details and to receive a coupon for $10 off a $25 purchase, go to dicks.com/Tampa.

The new Dick's is a flagship store with more interactive and experience-driven displays. The Pittsburgh-based retailer also has stores in Brandon, Citrus Park, Countryside and Wesley Chapel.
