This has to be more fun than the prequels:

Disney Cruise Line on Thursday announced Star Wars Day at Sea, a daylong event that will be held aboard eight select sailings of the Disney Fantasy in 2016.

Star Wars joins Frozen, Pirates of the Caribbean and Pixar as the popular Disney properties that have earned a special celebration at sea aboard Disney's cruise ships.

Here's what Star Wars fans can expect:

Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, imperial stormtroopers and other characters will greet guests as they board and roam the decks. Cosplay will be encouraged. Dress as Jar Jar Binks at your own risk.

There will be a shipboard version of the Jedi Training Academy experience. A Jedi master will teach young Padawans how to wield a lightsaber in case there's a disturbance in the buffet. Young Jedi will face a final test against Darth Vader.

There will also be Star Wars trivia games for children and families. Lightsaber training encouraged, but not required.

At night, adults will be able to visit a Mos Eisley-themed cantina and nightclub with Star Wars characters and movie-themed cocktails. Lightsabers might be a good idea here.

Guests will also be able to view all six Star Wars films (but will not be required to watch the three prequels, however).

There will also be a Star Wars deck party at night with music, dancing, games, pyrotechnics and lasers.

Star Wars cruises will sail from Port Canaveral on these dates in 2016: Jan. 9, Jan. 23, Feb. 6, Feb. 10, March 5, March 19, April 2, April 16.

Disney's seven-night western Caribbean cruises include stops in Cozumel, Mexico; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; and Disney's private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.
